High Bridge

June 28th 2009, Cañon City, CO: this year marks the 8oth anniversary of the completion of the Royal Gorge Bridge, seen in the background. At 1053 feet in height, it is the world's highest suspension bridge, when measured from the floor of the bridge to the water below. To celebrate its anniversary, the State Bridge Inspector, the Project Engineer, and one of the original workers returned to tell stories of the construction project.
