From The Pages of History...

Author Helen Hunt Jackson lived in Colorado Springs between 1874 and 1885. She wrote the book A Century of Dishonor and the novel Ramona, both of which were influential in reforming the United States' treatment of native Americans. Here the author is portrayed by actress Doris McCraw at Seven Falls in 2007. She will be returning to the attraction again this summer. In addition to historic characters such as Helen Hunt Jackson and Katherine Lee Bates, Doris also has Dorathea Thompson, the self-appointed ambassador to Colorado. This character, a gossip, tells stories on everyone and is a fun interactive way to laugh your way to knowledge of this wonderful state.
